Miyoko Abe, Riëtte Butôt, Kumiko Sasaki en Sachiko Tanouchi

Miyoko Abe: “The flowers blooming in my garden or on the road side give me small emotions. I cherish the emotions that are close to me. Based on a first sketch, I paint on silk or Japanese paper using sumi, natural dyes,pigment and gold.

De werken van Riëtte Butôt zijn gemaakt met Gansaiverf op Japans papier en zijn persoonlijke herinneringen aan de vele reizen door Japan.

Kumiko Sasaki: For the exhibition in de Kolk I made water color-pencil works of the Misuzu waterfall and Misugata rock. We see the waterfall or, the waterfall sees us.”

Sachiko Tanouchi: I have been inspired by Japanese traditional craft, painstakingly created by spending a lot of time, with its delicate beauty.
My handicraftstyle artwork refelcts memories and senses of human beings as a theme.
